College Admission Requirements and Higher Education Information

The State of California offers community colleges, California State Universities (CSU), and University of California (UC) for students who wish to continue their education after high school.

In order to attend a community college, a student need only be a high school graduate or 18 years of age. In order to attend a CSU, a student must have taken specific high school courses, have the appropriate grades and test scores, and have graduated from high school. A student may also transfer to a CSU or UC after attending a community college.
